Privacy Policy
NetMovie is a place to browse films and series and watch them on the web, Android and Windows. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address, your display name, and a password if you sign up with email (stored only as a secure hash by our sign-in provider).
- Google sign-in: if you choose “Continue with Google”, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. We don’t get your Google password or access to anything else in your Google account.
- Sign-up codes: when you create an account we email you a 6-digit code. We keep a scrambled copy of the code for up to 15 minutes, then delete it.
- Using NetMovie: when you play a title we check that your account may watch it. If you pick or generate subtitles, we save that choice with your account so the best subtitles can be suggested to other viewers.
- Cookies: we use secure sign-in cookies to keep you signed in. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
Only to run NetMovie: to sign you in, keep your account secure, send the emails you ask for (sign-up codes and password resets), and show you the right films, trailers and subtitles. We don’t sell your information and we don’t show ads.
Services we rely on
- Supabase — accounts and sign-in.
- Vercel and Cloudflare — hosting the website and delivering video to your browser.
- Resend — sending our emails.
- Google — “Continue with Google”.
- TMDB, Cinemeta and YouTube — film details, ratings and trailers.
Videos play from third-party sources. NetMovie does not host video files.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your account details while your account exists. To delete your account and its data, email us at banda200232@gmail.com from the address on the account and we’ll remove it within 30 days. You can also remove NetMovie’s access to your Google account at any time in your Google Account settings.
Children
NetMovie is not intended for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
